Celebrating 34 years of

Community Choral Singing

2025-26 Season

We are excited to announce that WRC is moving to

First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland

3630 Fairmount Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH  44118

Our rehearsals and concerts this season will be in our new home. This space is able to accommodate the needs of our growing membership, larger audiences, and orchestras for larger works.

On December 7, 2025 our annual holiday concert will feature the
Christmas Oratorio by Camille Saint-Saëns, followed by a set of works
celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah. Harpist Rebecca Hou will be
our guest artist.

On March 15, 2026 we will present “Mozart: Celebration and
Solemnity,” pairing Mozart’s Mass in C-Major K. 317 (The Coronation
Mass) with Vesperae Solennes de Confessore K. 339 (The Solemn Vespers).

We will conclude our season on Sunday, June 7th, 2026 singing about “Love in ¾ Time.” The concert will include selections from Brahms’s Liebeslieder Waltzes for chorus and four-hand piano as well as numbers depicting various
loves - including Love for the Earth, Love for Humankind, Romantic
Love, and most importantly, Love of Singing.

For over 30 years, the Western Reserve Chorale (WRC) has carried out its mission to enhance the quality of life for Greater Cleveland residents by providing free, high quality choral music performances.

With over 100 singers from across Northeast Ohio, comprising various musical backgrounds, the WRC focuses on traditional choral standards and works for chorus and orchestra.  The WRC’s repertoire encompasses many periods and styles, from classical to modern, and includes newly commissioned compositions. Some highlights from WRC’s recent performances are works by Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Mozart, Dan Forrest, Karl Jenkins, Ola Gielo, and John Rutter.

The operation of the Chorale is overseen by the WRC Board, elected from the membership. Funding for the group comes from advertising, grants, donations, and member support. Annual member dues are set each year by the board, and are requested from each member at the beginning of the season. In the last few years we have obtained matching project grants from Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, the Ohio Arts Council, and foundations including the AHS Foundation.

Western Reserve Chorale is a designated 501(c)(3), non-profit organization.
